We generally want to know what kind of repertoire is produced, the type of singers hired, and if the work is paid or volunteer.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY COMPANY INFORMATION?

Simply email us at info@chicagovocalarts.org with the corrections and we will update your listing.

IS THE VOCAL ARTS DATABASE A LIST OF ALL THE COMPANIES IN CHICAGO?

No, it is not. The Chicago opera and choral scene is so dynamic that new companies are being started every year. We try to include as many as we can, but if you don't see a company or organization you think should be listed, send us an email.

HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT LOCAL AUDITIONS?

You can check the individual company websites for their latest auditions or you can become a CVAC member. Members are sent a bi-weekly audition listing of all area opera, operetta, choral, musical theatre, straight theatre, film, and voice-over auditions in the Chicagoland area.
