Joelle Kross, coloratura soprano, has been praised as a “colorful, old-school soubrette" (Vocal Arts Chicago) and “petite, spritely, and utterly delightful in every scene” (Theater Mirror). She most recently performed as a Young Artist in The Threepenny Opera with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre. Joelle has appeared in Chicago with the Second City Blackout Cabaret, Transgressive Theatre-Opera, Chicago Vocal Arts Consortium, Main Street Opera, Floating Opera Company, and Forte Chicago, and in Colorado as a Young Artist with Opera Steamboat. Favorite roles include Blonde/Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Olympia/Les contes d’Hoffmann, Amy/Little Women, and Le Feu/Le Rossignol/L’enfant et les sortilèges. Joelle holds an Master of Music in Voice Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Music, and French from Muhlenberg College.
