Soprano, Kellie Springfield, is excited to be singing Morgana in CVAC’s production of Alcina. Ms. Springfield is an active performer and arts administrator throughout the Chicago area. Recently, she has performed in Savoyaires’ The Pirates of Penzance, Colorbox Theatre’s The Medium, Ignite Opera’s La Clemenza di Tito, and Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra’s Riders to the Sea and Gianni Schicchi. Ms. Springfield has also been seen with Midwest Institute of Opera in Hansel & Gretel, Sankt Goar Music Festival and Academy Art Song Recital Around the World in Sankt Goar, Germany with a focus on Richard Strauss’ Lieder, Evanston’s Bach Chorus, Chorus Angelorum under the baton of Mark Kruzcek, and North Park University’s production of The Ballad of Baby Doe and Signor Deluso. In addition, she performs with the Nordic Voices, a womens choir dedicated to performing works by Swedish, Finnish, and Norwegian composers in their native languages. Ms. Springfield has a Masters degree in Arts Leadership and Cultural Management from Colorado State University, a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from North Park University, and a Bachelors of Music from VanderCook College of Music.
