Emerging countertenor Nicolas Wagner displays versatility and proficiency of a wide range of styles and eras. Having performed in operas from Purcell to Mozart to Heggie, Nicolas is very excited to make his Handel debut, in addition to his debut in a leading role. This coming year he will be performing in multiple premieres with the Chicago College of Performing Arts, including works by Daron Hagen and Dorian Cunningham. Wagner will also be seen as Philidel in Purcell’s King Arthur with CCPA. Wagner received his Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Northwestern University and is currently pursuing a Master in Music in Voice at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.
